Student interest first can solve many conflicts and miscommunications. After sitting with the principal and CF to explain our interest in putting our students first and utilizing our time for intervention through best practice and differentiation practices we were given the approval to move forward. We had to explain that it was in the best interest of the students on all levels to show mastery and move on to work on fluency and other skills with the intervention help while the teacher works with the others who struggle and need more support. Now that we’ve got the go ahead we can begin to talk strategy and action research for the best practices that can help our advanced students continue to grow while not leaving behind our support learners.
